Plateau measures the statistical robustness of a trading strategy — how likely a backtest reflects a genuine, repeatable edge rather than overfitting. It is provided for informational and analytical purposes only. 2. Backtests and simulations have inherent limitations

Plateau analyses backtested, optimized and simulated results. Such results are hypothetical and have inherent limitations: they are prepared with the benefit of hindsight, may not account for real‑world factors such as slippage, liquidity, latency, fees, financing costs or execution failures, and do not represent actual trading. Past performance and backtested or simulated results are not indicative of future results.

3. A robustness score is not a prediction

Plateau's scores, verdicts, charts and metrics are analytical estimates based on the data you provide and the statistical methods used. A high score indicates greater statistical robustness — it does not guarantee profitability, future performance, or that a strategy will work in live markets. A low score does not guarantee a strategy will fail. No tool can eliminate the risk inherent in trading.

4. Your decisions are your own

You are solely responsible for your own trading and investment decisions and for evaluating the merits and risks of any strategy. Any reliance you place on Plateau's output is strictly at your own risk. You should consider your financial situation and, where appropriate, seek advice from an independent, licensed professional before trading.
